In this sailboat the mast is inserted into the cabin and is supported by a wooden base on the floor that reaches to the keel. This base was made of plywood embedded in resin and fiberglass that had rotten over the years, so we had to change it for a solid wooden piece glued with epoxy glue to the keel. This has been, I believe, the most important work we have done this time since we have made it extremely strong to resist any situation.
