One of the best ways to get air below when the hatches must be close is the dorade vent, basically, a dorade vent consist of a cowl vent set atop a box on deck, rather than feeding directly to the cabin. Inside the box is a pipe offset from the bottom of the cowl vent neck, so that air entering through the cowl travels a route before being funneled below or inside into the saloon, small drains holes at the low point in the side s of the box allow water to escape.
Then having this in mind we made a couple of dorade boxes made out of fiberglass, on top of these water traps or dorade boxes I will put two Nicro cowl vents that I already had for this purpose.
