The boat was in bad condition because it was for many years exposed uncovered to the weather elements. Also, inside the boat the bulkheads and the furniture were moth-eaten mainly those made of plywood so it is necessary to build them new.
The first order in any project is to clear out the boat. In this case, there was a quite a bit of wood scraps, leaves, insects, garbage and other detritus, in the saloon, in the cockpit and elsewhere.
We also find water in the bilge accumulated for a long time probably due to the rain.
